The space I use for my shamanic practice here in Los Angeles, California, is five floors above the circus that is Hollywood Boulevard, at the corner where the Hollywood Walk of Fame begins, just a few blocks away from Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, and the Kodak Theatre (where the Academy Awards are held).  It’s a quiet interior room with soft lighting, a massage table for energy work, comfortable chairs, peaceful music, and sacred tools such as a drum and rattles.  Joining the blogosphere feels like I’ve taken the elevator back down to Hollywood Boulevard and set up a chair on the sidewalk.  It feels raw and vulnerable.  Unlike the intimate environment of a healing session, I can’t see your faces; I can’t see or feel your reaction.  But I’ve been encouraged to join the fray.  To take some more risks and add my voice to those of the other shamanic practitioners and energy healers with whom I have been studying and learning since the early ‘90’s.

I look forward to sharing with you, on this frenetic cyber street corner, the things that are inspiring me and even confusing me.  I look forward to hearing your comments and questions, and to encouraging each other as we take our spiritual practice from the safe space of our meditation rooms to the more grisly spaces where we buy our groceries, debate politics, have relationships, and apply in an infinite number of ways the things that we learn when we are more consciously connected to Spirit.

So, thanks for joining me!  I look forward to connecting with you!
